Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

So, I feel like I've always been able to teach myself how to do stuff rather its photo-shop or playing a few songs on the piano .... with this photography and having a new camera that point and shoots and half dslr settings its hard for me to figure out... my goal is to be able to purchases a new full dslr camera for Christmas and be able to work it and explore it.... but with some negativity and critiques its been hard for me to bounce back and want to take photos. I have created a b/w photo project for work that I'm pleased with but will not be posting out of respect for all parties involved at work. So I'm looking for some online classes or website to help me learn more and terms .... Can anybody help with where to find any?

It's just one of those days I guess .... Hopefully I be posting some new stuff soon or maybe finding some sort of contest to get more exposure ...... in the mean time I think im going open up photo-shop and do some digital art .
